Mini Vaio - Sony Vaio Mini Laptop

We all know that Sony always had excellent design laptops, so that is case with their mini laptop. Mini Vaio is really small but powerful laptop, its size is 245X120X19.8 mm. It comes with loaded windows vista and have quick boot. Hardware inside is not high end but it is good enough. It have Atom CPU on 1.3 GHz, 2 GB RAM and 60 GB Hard disk with 4200 rpm. From this specification we will notice that hdd with 4200rpm is little below standard. I could be ssd :). Anyway this notebook is really great, but with very high price. There is several other better solutions on market, but if you love Vaio design buy it, this should be fancy one!

BlackBerry - new firmware finaly 5.0 - spped up the phone 100 times !

Last night I have finally received an e-mail from RIM (Research in motion),  that notifies me about new firmware for my BB Storm device. Very important thing in that mail was first number in new firmware version. It was 5!!! Latest before 5.0 was 4.7 that was fixed some bugs on my phone but it still was incredibly slow and I was very disappointed. New version of "device software" brings changes to my opinion about my Storm. It was almost ready to be changed with some Nokia or iPhone device, but with 5.0 software this phone becomes what it used to be! Phone now have better GUI design, responds to my actions very fast and I simply can't stop using it.  The most important thing is that all sections are faster, BB SurePress touch screen is amazing solution, far better than competition (before this update it was like any other). I strongly recommend every Storm user to update to new firmware! You will see, this is unbelievable. Ok just one day have passed but when you see this I think that your reactions will be like mine. Just wait and see speed of screen rotation :). or camera speed (and autofocus levels), or speed when you changing pictures...

I know that several bloggers, websites , news companies today writing about iPad ant of course there is not much more to say than Steve Jobs said in his speech it is just device between laptop and smartphone, (between macbook and iPhone). Tablet computer for browsing web, reading eBooks, playing games and so on... it can run iPhone apps on much larger screen. It can help you at job, at home, in garden, in toilette almost anywhere where you were always need a good tablet! But it deserve respect because of big success of its brothers iph and mcb. Anyway crazy customers will camp in front of stores in April '10 again...  

Apple iPad - price - final cut

How big news ha, Apple finally has announced new toy call iPad it looks like they have made it. This is next step in computer industry, after mini PCs like asus eee was now we have eBook readers and ultra thin tablets. Of course wireless technologies are now less expensive, and much better than few years ago and it just was matter of time when gadgets like this will appear. And finally how much it will cost? The 16 GB device without 3G will cost $499 US, ranging up to the full 3G-enabled 64 GB version for $829. Of course this is attack to many companies like RIM is and Amzaon and so on...For this day iPad is in braking news. About half inch thick it have almost 10" display actually 9.7" and of course it is multitouch, battery life is abou 10 hours... Apple is making best quality products and iPad will be one of them for sure. So now when we know how to call it only thing that left to us is to buy it :)  when it comes to stores...

 

need an ispiration - holiday cookies

This title sounds like it is not relative with my blog but as in previous post I will make connection. These days it is very important to share information with others. So this is very nice and happy topic to write about. Holidays are very close and we're all waiting. By doing some technical search I found one very interesting and amazing thing.   There is several ways to express you creativity by making cookies for holidays, here I will post some photos that I found on Google during my search so maybe you will get an idea for this season. There is some traditional layout of cookies. Like some that were seen so many times, but it can still look beautiful, you can find pictures of traditional cookies on the right side of this post. As making cookies can be artistic thing on the left side of post you'll see some very nice ideas inspired by Firefox, Apple and Google. So now you can think about ideas to be original for this season and inspired by Technology, so maybe you cookies can look like floppy diskettes or maybe cake can look like HDD. In this pandemic times we should keep ourselves well informed about potential dangerous situations for us. First of all we should find relevant information, remember that you simply can't trust anyone on network. If you want to find information about AH1N1 virus first place that I can recommend you is WHO (world health organization), I made citation from their website here and all about new virus:

Another source for keep yourself informed can be Google flu trends (tool for watching standard flu progress in different countries), here you can follow flu trend in your country, and finally here I will post recommendations for flu prevention:

1. Wash hands regularly (hand hygiene). Use of hand sanitizers is also effective.
2. Cover your mouth with a handkerchief or tissue when you cough or sneeze (cough etiquette).
3. Avoid crowds, hand shakes and social gestures (hugs, beso-beso).
4. Avoid contact with those who are sick.
5. Travel to the AH1N1 + countries only if extremely necessary. After your trip, observe and watch out for flu-like symptoms (fever, cough, body aches, and pains). Consult the Health Service immediately as these manifest.
6. Get the vaccine for the seasonal flu (no vaccine yet for AH1N1). The low-priced seasonal flu vaccine is available upon order from the Health Service.
7. Eat nutritious food, increase fluid intake and have enough rest.
8. Social distancing – if you are sick, keep a distance of at least one meter from others and immediately take a leave of absence due to illness.
9. Improve the airflow of air-conditioned room – open windows of your area for at least one hour.
10. Stay home if you have the flu-like symptoms (for at least 7 days). Consult physician near your place.

Regarding item 3, we are recommending that activities of gathering be held in an open or well-ventilated area.
Regarding Item 9, we are requesting that windows (if any) of classrooms or any enclosed areas in the campus be opened for at least one (1) hour before being occupied.

I have installed Windows 7 RC - it works perfect

New Windows is coming in 10 days, before that we can use excellent release candidate. I have installed this RC onto my computer and found that it works far better than Vista, finally they have removed all unnecessary design elements and made OS easy to use, even easier than winXP. Clean design, friendly user interface, speed and lot of features are not just phrases in Windows 7. New OS already have good driver support so when I installed it all my devices were correctly recognized and I had feel like the devices are working better than on XP, also I have noticed that my Internet connection working better and faster, there is no such reason for that but it is - same browsers and and same connection but about 3 times faster (amazing). Overall experience is that Microsoft have finally made good OS to move from XP, introducing some new concepts.

Very new domain real life

There are big news for my blog I have bought domain! new blog domain is www.inareallife.info ! Because of that I also planning to put some new design here and also to focus blog on real life technology issues. After more than year I have started 3 blogs, but this is very first one. Another is about my hometown and last is about cell phone that I had. And there is more plans, but for now form all this small projects I'm planning to make something big. I was thinking that this blog and two another just will be good practice for writing and implementing ads and some other things. YouTube - This Video Not Available in Your Country.

Since I first time got message "This Video Not Available in Your Country" from my dear YouTube I started to thinking about my country. Ok man, I live in Serbia so what? I can't even watch videos on YouTube, this can't be... But after some research I found that video publisher can enable video only for some region. But it is bad move from YouTube that videos can be published in that way. I completely understand commercial reasons of this functionality but that message started to make me angry not on publisher but on YouTube and my country because there is no explanation why that video is not available. Also good idea for YouTube is to remove videos that can not be played in my country from my search results and what will happen? I will not be angry and also I'll not notice anything strange that can make me nervous and maybe make me so mad that I will stop using YouTube.
