Microsoft has bought Skype for $8.5 billion

Recent news has hit the world : Microsoft has bought Skype for $8.5 billion, in an all cash deal !!! Skype if finally sold. Facebook and Google were said to be earlier dance partners for Skype, and Microsoft was a late entrant and is now close to walking away with the prize. Actually, now Microsoft is absolute winner of this market battle. I'm pretty sure that this action from MS is just first big step facing the market where Google Voice and Apple Facetime are in top without appropriate competition. I'n next period I'm expecting to see Skype embedded in many Microsoft platform's like Windows Phone 7 and Xbox are. We'll see what will happen next, and what will be the responses from Google, Apple and others that are involved in this market segment.
